Tripoli Panthers (Tripoli, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Waterloo Christian Regents (Waterloo, IA), 74-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Tripoli upgrades its record to 2-4 on the season. The Panthers travel to Sumner-Fredericksburg (Sumner, IA) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Monday, December 19. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Sumner-Fredericksburg lost 48-36 in their recent league bout against Wapsie Valley (Fairbank, IA)

Next up, the Regents play the Riceville Wildcats (Riceville, IA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Waterloo Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 74-52 non-league loss to Crestwood (Cresco, IA).
