Georgia High School Basketball - Aquinas ripped by Towns County

The Towns County Indians basketball team scored 47 points and held the host Aquinas Fightin' Irish to 26 in the Indians league triumph on Friday.

The Indians now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Coosa for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 28. Towns County will battle a Eagles team coming off a 48-33 non-league loss to Pepperell (Lindale, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-9.

The Fightin' Irish (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Washington-Wilkes (Washington, GA). The Tigers enter the A D2 Region 8A contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Washington-Wilkes was routed by Greene County (Greensboro, GA), 57-24, in a league contest.
