Armstrong River Hawks (Kittanning, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Shaler Area Titans (Pittsburgh, PA), 44-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Armstrong upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The River Hawks host Shaler Area (Pittsburgh, PA) to play the Titans in a WPIAL 5A 2 bout on Thursday, January 19. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 5-2.

Next up, the Titans play the Butler Golden Tornado (Butler, PA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 19. Shaler Area will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Golden Tornado go into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 80-75 non-league loss to Chartiers Valley (Bridgeville, PA).
