Mississippi High School Basketball - Starkville Academy knocked off by Bayou Academy

The Bayou Academy Colts basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Starkville Academy Volunteers to 38 in the Colts league triumph on Friday.
The Colts now sport a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Leake Academy for a non-league contest on Monday, December 19. Bayou Academy will battle a Rebels team coming off a 51-32 league win over East Rankin Academy (Pelahatchie, MS). The Rebels record now stands at 17-1.
The Volunteers (7-9) will now prepare for their contest against Jackson Prep (Jackson, MS). The Patriots enter the non-league contest with a 6-12 record. In their last contest, Jackson Prep was defeated by Simpson Academy (Mendenhall, MS), 55-40, in a non-league contest.
