Cave Spring Knights (Roanoke, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Blacksburg Bruins (Blacksburg, VA), 54-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Cave Spring upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Knights host Christiansburg (Christiansburg, VA) to play the Blue Demons in a River Ridge bout on Monday, December 19. The Blue Demons go into the bout with a record of 7-2. Christiansburg lost 49-41 in their recent league bout against Salem (Salem, VA)

Next up, the Bruins play the Mount Airy Granite Bears (Mount Airy, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Blacksburg will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Granite Bears go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 54-39 league win over Starmount (Boonville, NC).
