Hayward Hurricanes (Hayward, WI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Cameron Comets (Cameron, WI), 44-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Hayward upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Hurricanes travel to Chetek-Weyerhaeuser (Chetek, WI) to play the Bulldogs in a Heart O'North bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 3-4. Chetek-Weyerhaeuser won 46-36 in their recent league bout against Cumberland (Cumberland, WI)

Next up, the Comets play the Ladysmith Lumberjacks (Ladysmith, WI) in a Heart O'North bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Cameron will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record.
