With the victory, Winfield-Mt. Union upgrades its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Wolves host Columbus (Waterloo, IA) to play the Sailors in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Sailors come into the bout with a record of 5-2.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Dike-New Hartford Wolverines (Dike, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 16. Columbus will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Wolverines come into the bout with a 7-0 record after their 63-23 non-league win over East Marshall (Le Grand, IA).
