In Friday's league outing, the James Monroe Yellow Jackets (Fredericksburg, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Courtland Cougars (Spotsylvania, VA), by a count of 61-39.

The Yellow Jackets (3-1) will now prepare for their outing against Liberty (Bealeton, VA). The Eagles go into the non-league outing with a 1-5 record.

The Cougars now hold a 2-4 record. They play next when they host Chancellor for a Battlefield outing on Tuesday, January 3.
