Floyd County Buffaloes (Floyd, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lord Botetourt Cavaliers (Daleville, VA), 70-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Floyd County upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Buffaloes travel to Patrick County (Stuart, VA) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league bout on Monday, December 19. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 6-1. Patrick County won 51-34 in their recent league bout against Bassett (Bassett, VA)

Next up, the Cavaliers clash with the Abingdon Falcons (Abingdon, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 28. Lord Botetourt will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record.
