    The Gilbert Tigers basketball team scored 26 points and held the host Winterset Huskies to 23 in the Tigers league triumph on Friday.

    The Tigers now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ballard for a Raccoon River contest on Tuesday, December 20. Gilbert will meet a Bombers team coming off a 59-40 league win over Carroll (Carroll, IA). The Bombers record now stands at 6-1.

    The Huskies (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against North Polk (Alleman, IA). The Comets enter the Raccoon River contest with a 5-0 record. In their last contest, North Polk nudged A-D-M (Adel, IA), 50-31, in a league contest.
