West Delaware Hawks (Manchester, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Independence Mustangs (Independence, IA), 54-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, West Delaware upgrades its record to 2-5 on the season. The Hawks host Marion (Marion, IA) to play the Wolves in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Marion lost 50-38 in their recent non-league bout against Solon (Solon, IA)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Oelwein Huskies (Oelwein, IA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 19. Independence will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record.
