Verona Wildcats (Verona, WI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Madison East Purgolders (Madison, WI), 82-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Verona upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Wildcats host Beaver Dam (Beaver Dam, WI) to clash with the Golden Beavers in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 22. The Golden Beavers go into the bout with a record of 7-0.

Next up, the Purgolders clash with the Kenosha Bradford Red Devils (Kenosha, WI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Madison East will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Red Devils go into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 96-39 league win over Racine Horlick (Racine, WI).
