Texas High School Basketball - Rice can't hold off Malakoff

The Malakoff Tigers basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Rice Bulldogs to 43 in the Tigers league triumph on Friday.
The Tigers now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mildred for a 3A Region III District 18 contest on Tuesday, December 20. Malakoff will battle a Eagles team coming off a 48-35 league win over Palmer (Palmer, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 14-2.
The Bulldogs (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against Blooming Grove (Blooming Grove, TX). The Lions enter the 3A Region III District 18 contest with a 12-6 record.
