May River Sharks (Bluffton, SC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting St. Andrew's Lions (Savannah, GA), 38-34 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, May River upgrades its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Sharks host Beaufort (Beaufort, SC) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 4-5. Beaufort won 39-33 in their recent non-league bout against Colleton County (Walterboro, SC)

Next up, the Lions play the Savannah Christian Raiders (Savannah, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 17. St. Andrew's will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Raiders come into the bout with a 0-6 record after their 58-23 league loss to Long County (Ludowici, GA).
