Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host West Caldwell Warriors (Lenoir, NC), 77-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Newton-Conover upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Red Devils host Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC) to clash with the Wolves in a 2A Conference 45 bout on Thursday, December 22. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Lincolnton won 44-43 in their recent league bout against Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC)

Next up, the Warriors clash with the Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 17. West Caldwell will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 48-45 non-league loss to Newton-Conover (Newton, NC).
