The Richards Panthers basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Round Top-Carmine Cubs to 53 in the Panthers league triumph on Friday.

The Panthers now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Buckholts for a 1A Region IV District 29 contest on Tuesday, January 3. Richards will meet a Badgers team coming off a 75-15 league loss to Fayetteville (Fayetteville, TX). The Badgers record now stands at 2-5.

The Cubs (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against North Zulch (North Zulch, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 1A Region IV District 29 contest with a 6-7 record.
