The Shoals Christian Flame (Florence, AL) basketball knocked off the visiting Waterloo Cougars (Waterloo, AL), 56-47 in Friday's league test.
The Flame (5-2) will now prepare for their test against Athens Bible (Athens, AL). The Trojans go into the non-league test with a 2-9 record. In their last test, Athens Bible notched a victory over Oakwood Academy (Huntsville, AL), 39-38, in a league test.
The Cougars now own a 3-3 record. They play next when they host Shoals Christian for a 1A Area 16 contest on Tuesday, January 3.
