Warwick Raiders (Newport News, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Woodside Wolverines (Newport News, VA), 43-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Warwick upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Raiders host Perquimans (Hertford, NC) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 21. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 4-1.

Next up, the Wolverines play the Thomas Jefferson Vikings (Richmond, VA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 17. Woodside will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 52-12 league loss to Freeman (Richmond, VA).
