North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC), 35-17 in a league bout.

With the victory, North Wilkes upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Vikings host East Wilkes (Ronda, NC) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Friday, December 30. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 4-0. East Wilkes won 55-19 in their recent non-league bout against West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC)

Next up, the Blackhawks play the East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 19. West Wilkes will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record.
