Pisgah Bears (Canton, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Franklin Panthers (Franklin, NC), 59-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pisgah upgrades its record to 7-0 on the season. The Bears host West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 6-3. West Henderson won 53-23 in their recent league bout against Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC)

Next up, the Panthers play the North Henderson Knights (Hendersonville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Franklin will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 9-1 record after their 63-34 non-league win over Tuscola (Waynesville, NC).
