Wilson Christian Academy (Wilson, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Hilltop Christian Chargers (Fuquay-Varina, NC), 32-27 in a league bout.

With the win, Wilson Christian Academy upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The host Liberty Christian Academy (Richlands, NC) to play the Heat in a bout on Thursday, January 5. The Heat go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Liberty Christian Academy lost 50-44 in their recent league bout against Bethel Christian Academy (Kinston, NC)

Next up, the Chargers play the Calvary Christian Cougar (King, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Hilltop Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Cougar go into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 59-35 league win over Tabernacle Christian (Monroe, NC).
