North Carolina High School Basketball - Owen trounced by Mitchell

December 16, 2022: Black Mountain, NC 28711

In Friday's league match, the visiting Mitchell Mountaineers basketball team scored a decisive 64-38 triumph over the Owen Warhorses.

In their next game, the Mountaineers face the Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) in a match, on Tuesday, December 20. Mitchell will attempt to move on its 6-0 season record. The Wildcats enter the match with a 2-4 record after their 59-48 league loss to Avery County (Newland, NC).

With the defeat, Owen moves to 0-9 on the year. The Warhorses travel to Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC) to face the Cougars in a non-league match on Monday, December 19. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 3-3.
