The Akron Rams basketball team (Akron, CO), was nudged 56-50 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Haxtun Fightin' Bulldogs (Haxtun, CO)

The Fightin' Bulldogs now possess a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Prairie for a 1A North Central battle on Friday, January 5. Haxtun will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 46-37 non-league win over Dayspring Christian Academy (Greeley, CO). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-4.

The Rams (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Sedgwick County (Julesburg, CO). The Cougars come into the 3A/2A Lower Platte battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Sedgwick County edged Wiggins (Wiggins, CO), 42-32, in a non-league battle.
