Anthem Prep Eagles (Anthem, AZ) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host North Phoenix Preparatory Academy Gladiators (Phoenix, AZ), 63-23 in a league bout.

With the win, Anthem Prep upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Eagles travel to Desert Heights Prep (Glendale, AZ) to clash with the Yote in a 1A Central bout on Wednesday, December 20. The Yote go into the bout with a record of 0-6. Desert Heights Prep lost 51-50 in their recent league bout against Mayer (Mayer, AZ)

Next up, the Gladiators clash with the Mayer Wildcats (Mayer, AZ) in a 1A Central bout, on Thursday, January 4. North Phoenix Preparatory Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 3-9 record after their 51-50 league win over Desert Heights Prep (Glendale, AZ).
