Crownpoint Eagles (Crownpoint, NM) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Zuni Thunderbirds (Zuni, NM), 55-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Crownpoint upgrades its record to 1-4 on the season. The Eagles travel to Cuba (Cuba, NM) to play the Rams in a non-league bout on Monday, December 18. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Cuba lost 81-56 in their recent non-league bout against Mesa Vista (Ojo Caliente, NM)

Next up, the Thunderbirds play the Dulce Hawks (Dulce, NM) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 28. Zuni will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record.
