Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the South Delta Bulldogs (Rolling Fork, MS) and the visiting Humphreys County Cowboys (Belzoni, MS), saw South Delta's basketball squad hold off Humphreys County by a tally of 59-54.
With the victory, South Delta improves its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to O'Bannon (Greenville, MS) to play the Greenwaves in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Greenwaves come into the challenge with a record of 2-7. O'Bannon lost 42-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Shaw (Shaw, MS)
Next up, the Cowboys play the West Lowndes Panthers (Columbus, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 28. Humphreys County will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record.
