Maine High School Basketball - Katahdin trounces Van Buren

The Katahdin Cougars (Sherman Station, ME) basketball crushed the visiting Van Buren Crusaders (Van Buren, ME), 72-20 in Saturday's league test.
The Cougars (2-0) will now prepare for their test against Stearns (Millinocket, ME). The Minutemen go into the D North test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Stearns walloped Greenville (Greenville, ME), 58-39, in a non-league test.
The Crusaders now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Madawaska for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 19. Van Buren will encounter a Owls squad coming off a 51-38 non-league win over Central Aroostook (Mars Hill, ME). The Owls record now stands at 1-1.
