In Saturday's league outing, the Lyle/Pacelli Athletics (Lyle, MN) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Schaeffer Academy Lions (Rochester, MN), by a margin of 69-48.

The Athletics (5-3) will now prepare for their outing against Kingsland (Spring Valley, MN). The Knights go into the A Section 1 outing with a 3-0 record. In their last outing, Kingsland smashed Glenville-Emmons (Glenville, MN), 76-38, in a league outing.

The Lions now own a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Glenville-Emmons for a A Section 1 match on Monday, December 18. Schaeffer Academy will meet a Wolverines team coming off a 61-46 non-league loss to Alden-Conger (Alden, MN). The Wolverines record now stands at 1-4.
