In Saturday's non-league outing, the Perry County Central Commodores (Hazard, KY) basketball squad edged the visiting Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons (Madisonville, KY), by a count of 85-82.
The Commodores (4-1) will now prepare for their outing against Powell County (Stanton, KY). The Pirates go into the non-league outing with a 3-3 record. In their last outing, Powell County held off Owsley County (Booneville, KY), 62-53, in a league outing.
The Maroons now hold a 2-4 record. They play next when they host West Creek for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 19. Madisonville-North Hopkins will clash with a Coyote squad coming off a 65-49 non-league loss to Murray (Murray, KY). The Coyote record now stands at 4-3.
