Alabama High School Basketball - Oakwood Academy can't hold off St. John Paul II

The St. John Paul II Falcons basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the host Oakwood Academy Mustangs to 63 in the Falcons non-league victory on Saturday.

The Falcons now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Hope for a non-league contest on Monday, December 18. St. John Paul II will battle a Indians team coming off a 65-41 non-league win over Sand Rock (Leesburg, AL). The Indians record now stands at 10-5.

The Mustangs (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Woodville (Woodville, AL). The Panthers come into the 1A Area 15 contest with a 10-2 record. In their last contest, Woodville edged Valley Head (Valley Head, AL), 86-39, in a league contest.
