Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Union Mine Diamondbacks (El Dorado, CA), 61-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Nevada Union upgrades its record to 11-2 on the season. The Miners travel to Cordova (Rancho Cordova, CA) to clash with the Lancers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 16. The Lancers go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Cordova lost 61-29 in their recent non-league bout against Vista del Lago (Folsom, CA)

Next up, the Diamondbacks clash with the Colfax Falcons (Colfax, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 16. Union Mine will attempt to upgrade on its 9-3 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 41-40 non-league loss to Nevada Union (Grass Valley, CA).
