Texas High School Basketball - Johnson nips Churchill

Johnson Jaguars (San Antonio, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Churchill Chargers (San Antonio, TX), 56-55 in a league bout.

With the victory, Johnson upgrades its record to 10-11 on the campaign. The Jaguars host SA Roosevelt (San Antonio, TX) to play the Rough Riders in a 6A Region IV District 28 bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Rough Riders come into the bout with a record of 5-14. SA Roosevelt lost 38-29 in their recent league bout against Madison (San Antonio, TX)

Next up, the Chargers play the Clemens Buffaloes (Schertz, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Churchill will attempt to upgrade on its 16-7 season record. The Buffaloes come into the bout with a 14-6 record after their 52-51 non-league win over Reagan (San Antonio, TX).
