Georgia High School Basketball - Fitzgerald nudges Coffee

December 16, 2023: Fitzgerald, GA 31750

Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane (Fitzgerald, GA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Coffee Trojans (Douglas, GA), 67-64 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Fitzgerald upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Purple Hurricane travel to Ware County (Waycross, GA) to clash with the Gators in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Gators go into the bout with a record of 8-1. Ware County won 63-36 in their recent non-league bout against Worth County (Sylvester, GA)

Next up, the Trojans clash with the Camden County Wildcats (Kingsland, GA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 22. Coffee will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 10-1 record after their 55-37 non-league loss to North Florida Educational Institute (Jacksonville, FL).
