With the victory, Hackberry improves its record to 7-6 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Merryville (Merryville, LA) to play the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 18. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 8-7. Merryville lost 58-47 in their recent non-league challenge against Sulphur (Sulphur, LA)

Next up, the Tarpons play the Johnson Bayou Rebels (Cameron, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 16. South Cameron will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 59-31 non-league win over Gueydan (Gueydan, LA).
