St. John Paul II Falcons (Huntsville, AL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Oakwood Academy Mustangs (Huntsville, AL), 56-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, St. John Paul II upgrades its record to 5-8 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to New Hope (New Hope, AL) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Monday, December 18. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 5-8. New Hope lost 48-31 in their recent non-league bout against Spring Garden (Spring Garden, AL)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Woodville Panthers (Woodville, AL) in a 1A Area 15 bout, on Monday, December 18. Oakwood Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 37-34 league loss to Valley Head (Valley Head, AL).
