Carvers Bay Bears (Hemingway, SC) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting St. James Sharks (Murrells Inlet, SC), 29-18 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Carvers Bay upgrades its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Aynor (Aynor, SC) to play the Blue Jackets in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 4. The Blue Jackets come into the bout with a record of 2-2. Aynor won 31-19 in their recent non-league bout against Whiteville (Whiteville, NC)

Next up, the Sharks play the Christian Academy Saints (Myrtle Beach, SC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 4. St. James will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record.
