McFarland Cougars (McFarland, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Arvin Bears (Arvin, CA), 59-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, McFarland upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Cougars host Frontier (Bakersfield, CA) to play the Titans in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 16. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Frontier won 56-53 in their recent non-league bout against Independence (Bakersfield, CA)

Next up, the Bears play the Del Oro Sun (Bakersfield, CA) in a bout, on Wednesday, January 10. Arvin will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record.
