Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Hillside Hornets (Durham, NC) and the host Southern Durham Spartans (Durham, NC), saw Hillside's basketball squad overcome Southern Durham by a tally of 63-52.

With the victory, Hillside improves its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Hornets host Rolesville (Rolesville, NC) to confront the Rams in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 3-2.

Next up, the Spartans confront the Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs (Durham, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 5. Southern Durham will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record.
