The Beacon Academy Trailblazers basketball team scored 66 points and limited the visiting Cruz Dragons to 16 in the Trailblazers league triumph on Monday.

The Trailblazers now have a 5-1 record. They play next when they host Wolcott College Prep for a Lakeshore game on Tuesday, December 17. Beacon Academy will confront a Wolves team coming off a 2-0 league win over Roycemore (Evanston, IL). The Wolves record now stands at 9-2.

With the loss, Cruz falls to 1-8 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to Waldorf (Chicago, IL) to confront the Thunder in a Lakeshore game on Wednesday, January 8. The Thunder go into the game with a record of 2-5. Waldorf lost 54-28 in their recent non-league game against Northtown (Chicago, IL)
