The New Lothrop Hornets basketball team scored 44 points and limited the visiting Birch Run Panthers to 29 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Monday.

The Hornets now possess a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Ovid-Elsie for a Mid-Michigan game on Thursday, December 19. New Lothrop will confront a Marauders team coming off a 58-55 league win over Chesaning (Chesaning, MI). The Marauders record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Birch Run falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Byron (Byron, MI) to confront the Eagles in a non-league game on Thursday, December 19. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 0-4.
