The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Phelps Hornets (Phelps, KY) and the visiting East Ridge Warriors (Lick Creek, KY), observed Phelps's basketball team knock off East Ridge by a score of 77-63.

The Hornets (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Cherokee (Rogersville, TN). The Chiefs come into the non-league challenge with a 3-7 record. In their last challenge, Cherokee prevailed over Hancock County (Sneedville, TN), 43-29, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Warriors encounter the Raceland Rams (Raceland, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 21. East Ridge will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record.
