In Monday's league contest, the host North Michigan Christian Academy Comets basketball team scored a close 66-59 triumph over the Mackinaw City Comets.

The Comets (6-0) will now prepare for their contest against Ellsworth (Ellsworth, MI). The Lancers go into the Northern Lakes contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Ellsworth nipped Boyne Falls (Boyne Falls, MI), 64-13, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Comets battle the Wolverine Wildcats (Wolverine, MI) in a Northern Lakes contest, on Thursday, December 19. Mackinaw City will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record.
