The Erie Royals basketball team scored 56 points and limited the host Franklin Knights to 42 in the Royals non-league triumph on Monday.

The Royals now have a 2-0 record. They play next when they host Mercyhurst Prep for a non-league game on Saturday, December 21.

With the loss, Franklin falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Knights host Slippery Rock (Slippery Rock, PA) to confront the Rockets in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7. The Rockets go into the game with a record of 0-0.
