In Monday's non-league test, the Taylor Tigers (Taylor, AR) basketball squad trounced the host Claiborne Academy Rebels (Haynesville, LA), by a score of 65-27.
Next, the Tigers clash with the Hermitage Hermits (Hermitage, AR) in a 1A Region 8 test, on Tuesday, December 17. Taylor will attempt to improve on its 10-2 season record. The Hermits come into the test with a 2-11 record after their 46-7 league loss to Lafayette County (Stamps, AR).
The Rebels (6-5) will now prepare for their test against River Oaks (Monroe, LA). The Mustangs come into the non-league test with a 4-2 record. In their last test, River Oaks was routed by Riverdale Academy (Coushatta, LA), 40-29, in a non-league test.
