The Cumberland Dukes basketball team scored 50 points and limited the visiting Franklin Broncos to 30 in the Dukes non-league triumph on Monday.

The Dukes now have a 6-1 record. They play next when they host Amelia County for a James River game on Tuesday, December 17. Cumberland will confront a Raiders team coming off a 67-25 league loss to Prince Edward County (Farmville, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Franklin falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Broncos host Southampton (Courtland, VA) to confront the Indians in a Tri-Rivers game on Tuesday, December 17. The Indians go into the game with a record of 2-2. Southampton won 47-22 in their recent league game against Surry County (Dendron, VA)
