The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Northview Academy Cougars (Kodak, TN) and the visiting Gatlinburg-Pittman Highlanders (Gatlinburg, TN), observed Northview Academy's basketball team edge Gatlinburg-Pittman by a score of 62-58.

The Cougars (11-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Sevier County (Sevierville, TN). The Smoky Bears come into the non-league challenge with a 6-1 record. In their last challenge, Sevier County edged Morristown-Hamblen East (Morristown, TN), 52-42, in a league bout.

With the loss, Gatlinburg-Pittman falls to 8-4 on the campaign. The Highlanders host Cordova (Cordova, AL) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 19. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Cordova won 53-22 in their recent league bout against Curry (Jasper, AL)
