In Monday's league test, the St. Joseph Spartans (Natrona Heights, PA) basketball squad trounced the host Leechburg Blue Devils (Leechburg, PA), by a score of 66-25.
Next, the Spartans face the Aquinas Academy Crusaders (Gibsonia, PA) in a WPIAL 1A 1 match, on Thursday, January 2. St. Joseph will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record.
The Blue Devils now sport a 0-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Western Beaver for a non-league match on Friday, December 20. Leechburg will face a Golden Beavers squad coming off a 52-19 non-league win over Northgate (Pittsburgh, PA). The Golden Beavers record now stands at 2-5.
