The Madison County Mountaineers basketball team scored 57 points and limited the visiting Buckingham Knights to 49 in the Mountaineers non-league triumph on Monday.

The Mountaineers now have a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Orange County for a non-league game on Wednesday, December 18. Madison County will confront a Fighting Hornets team coming off a 50-38 non-league loss to Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA). The Fighting Hornets record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Buckingham falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Knights host Fork Union Military Academy (Fork Union, VA) to confront the Blue Devils in a non-league game on Wednesday, December 18. The Blue Devils go into the game with a record of 1-3. Fork Union Military Academy lost 55-26 in their recent non-league game against Norfolk Christian (Norfolk, VA)
