In Tuesday's non-league test, the Columbus Falcons (Columbus, MS) basketball squad trounced the host Meridian Wildcats (Meridian, MS), by a score of 58-32.

The Falcons now possess a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to Lafayette for a 5A Region 1 bout on Friday, December 19. Columbus will play a Commodores team coming off a 53-51 non-league win over East Webster (Maben, MS). The Commodores record now stands at 1-11.

With the loss, Meridian falls to 7-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Northwest Rankin (Brandon, MS) to play the Cougars in a 7A Region 3 bout on Thursday, December 18. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 8-5. Northwest Rankin won 47-39 in their recent non-league test against Canton (Canton, MS)
