The Durham Charter Lions basketball team scored 49 points and limited the visiting Iron Academy Swordsmen to 44 in the Lions league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lions now have a 3-4 record. They play next when they host Henderson Collegiate for a non-league game on Thursday, December 18. Durham Charter will clash with a Pride squad coming off a 60-54 league loss to Excelsior Classical Academy (Durham, NC). The Pride record now stands at 3-7.

The Swordsmen (1-4) will now prepare for their outing against Emerson Waldorf (Chapel Hill, NC). The Gnomes enter the non-league outing with a 2-1 record. In their last outing, Emerson Waldorf got by Cristo Rey Research Triangle (Durham, NC), 66-22, in a non-league outing.
